POLICY FRIDAYS
Meeting Info OPHA's Policy Fridays are 30-minute virtual meetings at 10:00-10:30 AM held every Friday during the legislative session (February thru May) and select Fridays in the interim (June thru January). Discussions are hosted by OPHA's Executive & Policy Director, McKenzie Cowlbeck, MPH, CPH. You may register to join Policy Friday discussion calls through OPHA's events calendar. Continuing education credits, including MCHES, are available each meeting. Participants Policy Fridays provide a forum for any and all public health-aligned students, practitioners, and researchers interested in learning about state and federal policy that impacts public health. Conversation is lively and includes updates and discussion on public health policy, the state and federal legislative process, various policy timelines & deadlines, terms & jargon, and – most critically – how policy is the foundation for just or unjust public health systems, programs, and outcomes. All levels of policy knowledge and experience are welcome, and folks wanting to become more familiar and confident with policy are especially welcome to join. OPHA membership is not required to participate. Discussion Host
