OKLAHOMA'S LEGISLATIVE TIMELINES
Oklahoma's legislative body, composed of 101 elected representatives (member of the House) and 48 elected Senators (members of the senate), is the "Legislature." Each Oklahoma Legislature spans two years, begins in odd-numbered years, and has at least two "regular" (constitutionally scheduled) legislative sessions each spring. Regular sessions begin on the first Monday in February and ends on the last Friday in May. The period between regular sessions – from June of one year to January the next – is called the "interim session." The Legislature can also hold extra sessions, called "special sessions."
