ABOUT THE SPEAKER
For more than a decade, Carissa has led training programs for the public health workforce, specializing in the use of technology to facilitate collaboration and learning. She contributes group facilitation, strategic thinking, and technical assistance to professional networks and communities of practice. This work includes the Public Health Academy of Oklahoma/OK in the Know initiative, Evaluators' Network, and Self-Made Health Network's Specialized Training and Technical Assistance Resource (STTAR) Hub. Through this work, national, state, and local organizations come together to achieve greater innovation and impact than would be possible for any one organization or individual. She also has served as an evaluation training consultant, guiding public health colleagues through evaluation design, data collection, and data-driven decision-making.
Carissa is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and holds an MPH from Emory
University. She resides in Atlanta and enjoys running, volunteering, and camping.
